A little secret and a mischievous smile

With the fall of winters that year,
Arrived foggy days and nights,
Silent and dim streets,
And a beautiful neighbor,

I saw her one day,
Tucked in a chair,
With folded legs and swollen eyes,
Half sleepy, half awake,

I would have just crossed,
If i hadn't seen that way,
And she hadn't looked back,
Smiling mischievously,
But then eyes have strange machinations,
Heart but a slave to them,

Our eyes met everyday,
Hearts spoke for hours,
Memories arrived in bundles,
Yet we never spoke,
I would laugh at my stupidity,
Just that it was so real and true,
And it made me so happy,

Then one day she was gone,
Just like she came,
Unannounced,
Leaving behind lonely days and nights,
Silent and dim streets,
A little secret and a mischivous smile..
