Flying

Let me tell u a story,
Of the times when i m flying,
Like a bird, into the skies,
My heart fills with thousand thoughts,
Of love and life,
And so many lies,

I look at the earth,
Petrified,
Wind engulfs me,
And then i dive,

Submitting to a time of nothingness,
Before i fly again,

One day i may dive,

Very proud of myself,
Find my door into the other world,
Still proud of myself,
Jumping, shouting,trying,

And again flying...

I Want to Miss You

Its only in the wilderness of thoughts,
That the sight of you,
So full of life,
Pulls me together,
And i start missing you at once,

Moist with emotions,
And saddened by the memory, of
Sweetest of moments we spent,
I plunge into a spiral,
Un-ending, un-nerving, un-assailable,
Unknowingly then i realise,
How badly i miss you,

Sleep you well,
For i slept a nought,
Last night, that left
Dripping with your thoughts,

Soaked as I am, with
Love so pure,
I leave all purpose,
Close all doors,for
There is nothing, for which
I am so sure,

If there's something to do,
when I am not with you,
My heart but says,
I want to miss you....

Kuch Baten

Taro ka bichhauna bicha ke,
Asmano ki satah pe sula ke,
hawaon ki tumko chadar udha ke,
mai kuch gungunana chahta hun,
kuch sun-na,aur kuch sunana chahta hun,

meri khamoshion ke jo matlab hai,
meri tanhayiyon ki adat hai,
mere gham aur mere anshu,
apni ankho se dikhana chahta hun,
kuch sun-na,aur kuch sunana chahta hun,

kuch hongi ankhen nam agar,
kisi ki bewafai ka hai zara asar,
kuch unme phir khushi bhi hai,
tum jaisa mila hamsafar,
ab to gham samet ke,
khushian lutana chahta hun,
kuch sun-na,aur kuch sunana chahta hun......

Down The Memory Lane

If it was'nt the darkness,
cold,
and the thick fog of winters,
dryness in my skin,
and those late hours,
of strolling sans purpose,

If it was'nt my loneliness,
silence,
and the calm that came uninvited,
with tragedy in matters of heart,
and tears that waited on the edge of the eye,
with every passing thought,

In those moments of despair,
agony,
and betrayal,life taught me,
my most valuable lesson, that
loving and being loved,
has no place for reason,

If it was'nt what it was,
life,
would have been wasted,
worshiping a shallow heart,
waiting for somebody who was'nt mine,
right from the start......

As The Times Rolled By

As I sit behind a tree trunk,
Under rain and clouds,
I think of,
A day passed called Sunday,
A day passed called Diwali,
Rakhi, anniversary and a birthday...
With every passing minute like a day,
All I can realize is that;
A Day Passed!!

I think of,
A theater showing newest movies,
Restaurant offering classy food,
My neighborhood,
My college that I never went to,
My bike, my car,
Home and friends...
And how they became scarcities of life,
As the time rolled by,

I think of,
My aloofness,Absentmindedness,
If its a curse or a bliss,
What I miss is a loss,
Or what I have is a gain...
Like to all questions,
I have a simple answer,"I m happy this way"

I think of it,
As a blessing,
To serve my nation,
With passion and devotion,
But there are regrets a few,and
What I am saying is nothing new,

O dear God I am a small fry,and
Though I say I still feel shy,
Next time u jumble up the things,
Make few soldiers, make few kings,
Make me a just a common man,
Let me have new pleasures, new pains,

Let me see a life new,
To overcome few cravings I never knew,
Hope you hear while a sing,
A common prayer, a needless thing,
When i wander to eternal sleep,
Make this a promise that you will keep,
Make this a promise that you will keep….

To The End of Forever

Lets just go back in time,to see
Our first rain,
That lonely train,
Those movies together,and
Moments of laughing or crying in vain,

To tell you,
Many a times I was wrong,
As a volley of emotions came too strong, but
Underneath sheets of crudity, and
Insensitivity galore,
I have a heart really pure,
Untouched by worldly vices, and
My love for you only rises,

Today as we sail through,
A year of love and passion,
Sadness, dejection and countless reasons,
To fight and cry, and
Yet feel really proud,of
The times passed by,

May this mischievous bliss,
Blossom from form to essence,
While we live together,
Loving and forgiving,
Year after year,
To the end of forever....

The Story of a Boy and Girl

It was a cold bright night,
Moon rose above their heads,
As they drove down the road into wilderness,
Until stumbling onto a beautiful place,
Where they left mobility to walk,

The jungle on the left and on the right,
Moon shining full-some and bright,
Heart pumping unusually fast,
Their hands in pocket and eyes on a trot,
On the road,Off the road,
Into the sky,into the jungle,
And sometimes towards one another,

The gift of words he had,
Or he thought he had,
Had withered temporarily,
Leaving behind uncertainty and caution,
Amid abundance of rushing emotions,
A tenderness in skin arrived un-invited,
Weakening his heart one more notch,

He moved ahead to turn a corner,
Right into the wilderness,
Un-invited yet confident,
Not of himself but the providence,
Soon entering a jungle lane,
Walking in step, they spoke all the while,
Yet nothing that ought to have been spoken,
One afraid, one introspect,

The light was now stronger,
As the midnight arrived,
There came a "hissing" of the jungle,
Was it a cue?
He didn't know and she hardly knew too,
The trees were initially far and few,
Then more and dense,
Then far and few again,
But monologue of the hearts continued,
Rather detached from the words they spoke,

He finally gathered the courage,
To take a broken path,
She followed in tandem,
Till they came to a small hill,
The Hill was bare and difficult to climb,
Though stones at the bottom were broken and kind,
They sat there together,
Looking straight into the darkness,

The darkness and the calm were the order now,
As they sat next to each other,
Boy waiting to speak,
Girl waiting to listen,
Strutting frequently he uttered few words,
While shaking nervously and holding her hand,
Leaving the comforts of his fear,
Behind which he hid his feelings,
As she opened the curtain to her heart,
Unleashing its grandeur,

The dam was broken and the waters soar,
The quiet heart had a mythical roar,
The feelings were true,
As they always knew,
But there was someone today to listen to,
The sea of emotions then poured around,
Soon the darkness was flooded,
With magic of love,
And they swam and sailed,
Hands closely held...
